Whilst office based staff benefit from the use of a Document Management system it provides some difficulties for mobile staff. They will often be required to take printed copies of all relevant documentation when they visit a client. Export to Laptop allows authorised staff to download information from DMS to a laptop. A special version of DMS, DMS Mobile, can be used on the laptop to view and record information during visits to customers. When they return to the office all new information is uploaded to the DMS system.
Where outbound staff do not require access to customer information but are task driven Self Serve for Mobile can be used on a mobile phone or tablet. Tasks generated through CRM, DMS or Self Serve can be collated and downloaded to their mobile device. The user can undertake the task and update the electronic form. Once completed the tasks are uploaded to the Document Management system.
